Wetlands Walk

Discover the diversity of our local landscape on the Wetlands Walk that connects the coast with our rich local history.

This scenic 6km (2 – 2.5hr) loop walk begins with a stretch along the beach before crossing Merricks Creek and winding through beautiful coastal woodlands to the iconic Coolart Homestead. There the trail leads you into the heart of the wetlands, a haven for nature lovers, offering some of the finest birdwatching spots in the region.

After soaking up the quiet of the wetlands, the path brings you back towards Balnarring Beach Road—finishing perfectly at the Tulum Store, where you can reward yourself with a well-earned refreshing drink.
